Having joined Global X in 2013, Jay leads the firm’s research team, which originates the firm’s unique insights on the markets and ETFs. He also guides the planning and development of the firm’s strategic direction. Jay is a frequently cited expert in the financial media, including CNBC, Bloomberg, and The Wall Street Journal. Prior to joining Global X, Jay was a business analyst at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), in the ETF and Indexing Group, where he helped to launch hundreds of ETFs on the NYSE Arca trading platform. Jay holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University in International Studies and is a CFA charterholder.

Michael Hoffmann

Research Analyst

Michael joined Global X in 2018 as a Research Analyst focused on thematic investing, covering disruptive trends in technology, people & demographics, and infrastructure. Prior to joining Global X, Michael was a technology editor at The Economist Intelligence Unit, focusing on topics such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing and application development. He was previously an equity research analyst at Baird covering cybersecurity and data networking. Michael has also worked on several grants from the National Institutes of Health, and his work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals. Michael received his bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Brown University. He has worked in Latin America and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Rohan joined Global X in 2015. He works within the firm’s research team, providing insights into the financial markets and Global X’s unique range of ETFs, including Energy Infrastructure, Preferreds, Covered Calls, & Dividend strategies. Rohan is also a member of the firm’s Portfolio Construction Committee (PCC), providing model portfolio solutions to investors. He is a frequent contributor to the Global X blog. Rohan earned his BA in Economics from New York University.

Chelsea Rodstrom

Chelsea joined Global X in 2018 as a Research Analyst with a focus on international macroeconomics and geopolitics. Her research provides unique insights and analysis across a range of geographies, including China, Europe, and the Latam region. Prior to joining Global X, Chelsea earned her master’s degree in Economics and International Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). She previously worked with consulting firms Albright Stonebridge Group and AT Kearney and has worked and studied in Italy, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, and Argentina. Chelsea earned her BA in International Studies and Political Science at Xavier University. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.

Jon joined Global X in 2017. He works to shape the firm’s market outlook, to lead the construction of model portfolios, to craft the firm’s investment strategy, and to contribute to the development of ETF products. Previously, Jon worked at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, where he was the Senior Portfolio Manager for its ETF Model Portfolio business within its CIO Office. Prior to joining Merrill, he held positions with UBS and its predecessor firm, PaineWebber. Earlier, Jon was a financial analyst with American International Group and served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Kiev, Ukraine, focusing on privatization projects. Jon received his BBA from Emory University.

Michelle Cluver

Michelle joined Global X in 2018. She works closely with Jon Maier on the construction and management of the ETF model portfolios. Prior to joining Global X, Michelle had a portfolio analysis role at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management within its ETF Model Portfolio business. Before joining Merrill, she worked at a South African asset management firm focusing on long only equity in both South Africa and international developed markets. Michelle received her Master’s in International Finance from the Amsterdam Business School after completing Honors in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town. She is a CFA charterholder and is part of the CFA Society New York.
